     Chartered in 1948, by the fathers of the ambulance industry in Southern California, J.H. Goodhew,( Goodhew Ambulance Service); Carl Dolphin, (Dolphin’s Ambulance Service); Walter Schaefer, (Schaefer Ambulance Service); Ysidro Reyes, (Santa Monica Ambulance Service) and O.B. Bowers, (Bowers Ambulance Service), it was then called the Southern California Ambulance Association. In 1969, the association changed its name to the Los Angeles County Ambulance Association. Today, the association represents licensed providers in Los Angeles County and serves as a collective voice on issues relevant to the ambulance industry.

The EMS Executive Summit will be conducted at the Palm Springs Convention Center, May 12, 2009, in Palm Springs, CA. This conference will be co-located with the CFEDWest Conference & Expo May 13-15, 2009.
2009 National EMS Memorial Service Adopt-A-Family 3/3/2009 11:51 AM
This year sadly, there are over 90 people who have died in the line of duty who will be honored at that annual service. The service runs completely on donations. I am wondering if you would mind posting information about the memorials service and a way to "adopt a family' for only $350.
